🌽 The 50th-ish-annual Longfellow Corn Feed is on Friday
The event, little known outside the neighborhood, attracts as many as 1,000 people to Longfellow Park.
The annual Longfellow Corn Feed — er, “Corn Roast,” as it’s now called — will take place on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 at Longfellow Park.
The event, though little known outside Longfellow, can attract as many as 1,000 people to the neighborhood’s namesake park for food, family-friendly activities, and, of course, freshly roasted corn. It's been a summer staple for about a half-century, though no one can say quite how long — as recently as 2016 it was billed as the “46th annual,” but dispute about exactly how many feeds have taken place prompted event organizers to stop quantifying its tenure.
