⛸ Temporary “all-weather” skating rink and sauna coming to the old U.S. Bank site

There will be signs of life for the remainder of the month at 2800 East Lake, the former U.S. Bank property that has sat vacant and fenced the past three years.

Nonprofits Redesign and Lake Street Council are installing a temporary park for an event series they’re calling “East Lake Skate and Sauna.” It’ll feature a “synthetic” skating rink with free skate rentals, a sauna on the weekends, and interactive art shanties.

It opens this evening and will continue through the end of the month on Thursdays through Sundays.
