☕️ Cafe Cerés has closed

Cafe Cerés on 46th and Minnehaha quietly closed on Sunday, along with the three other locations of the local coffee shop chain.

Local high-end restaurateur Daniel del Prado and pastry chef Shawn McKenzie launched the first Cafe Cerés in Linden Hills in late 2020 and opened the Minnehaha location last February. It served coffee drinks alongside pastries and a few food items made at the Linden Hills location, inside a large and airy space on the ground floor of the Wakpada Apartments.

The cafe's staff voted to unionize last summer. The closure comes before the first union contract was set to go into effect.
